We lived aboard for seven years, which was some of the best times we ever had. We owned fishing boats to high performance boats and enjoyed each one for different reason.” Since Dan’s untimely passing in 2004 Kathy wanted to continue helping customers achieve their dreamboat as not only a tribute to Dan’s memory as the founder and driving force behind Sunset Yachts but because she has learned to love the business as much as he did.

Associate Broker: Dave Hagler cell phone: 253-225-9853 Dave has been a marine professional since founding Performers Yacht Service of Los Alamitos, CA in 1970. Serving the discriminating owners and brokers of Huntington, Newport and Long Beach, CA., He knows what it takes to provide the best service. Over the years Dave and his wife Maggie have owned motor yachts, offshore and performance boats. Dave has been associated with Sunset Yachts Sales for over 15 years and today find the purpose of his experience and compassion in helping boaters realize their dream and avoid some nightmares. Associate Broker: Jim Porter cell phone: 253-370-2888 Jim bought his first boat at 15 years old. During high school and college, he worked as a commercial fisherman. He worked in Alaska and in Washington, and got to brave some pretty tough seas. His love of boats got him excited about getting his 100 tons Coast Guard Captains license about 20 years ago. He worked almost 30 years in the marine diesel industry. “I love helping people achieving their dreams of owning their own yacht." He is now holding personalized yacht handling classes for recreational boaters. Associate Broker: Dub Weyand cell phone 253-341-1605 Dub comes from a very diverse background. He was assistant manger for a bank in Idaho, owned his own grocery store, then went on to co-own a very successful food brokerage for 20 years in Salt Lake City. In 1997 he and his partner decided to sell the brokerage, which left Dub and his wife talking about a move to a warmer climate where they could boat year round. They visited the harbor over the years, fell in love with the area and decided to move to get out of the snowy winters. He has been involved in boating in various ways since early childhood. Together with his wife they have been boating for over 25 years. Having purchased several boats from Dan & Kathy over the years, plus their long time friendship, came to the deciding factor to move to Gig Harbor, where they have been a live aboard for over 10 years. Since moving to the Harbor he partnered with his wife in her Art Gallery, and is pleased to be an associate broker for Sunset Yacht Sales LTD. |
